We had another nice day in the Valley today. Sunny & warm. So nice not to have snow on the ground. Since it's smells Spring again I decided to make a Lemon Poppy Seeds Bread. I love baking with lemons. Their tang taste mixted with sugar & butter covered by a nice lemon syrup will awake your taste buds. You can find this recipe in Rose Levy Beranbaum's Cake Bible. She says on her website that: This cake not only has a silky-smooth dissolving texture similar to the famous Sara Lee pound cake but also the incomparable moist, buttery flavor of a home-baked cake. Its excellent keeping qualities make it ideal for slicing ahead and bringing on picnics. Here is the link to her website: Real Baking with Rose Levy Beranhaum. You can also read about this cake on: Joy of Baking.
The kids love to eat a slice before going to school. It freezes really well.
