Lemon Poppy Seeds Bread - Spring is in the air

We had another nice day in the Valley today. Sunny and warm. It is so nice not to have any snow on the ground. Since it's smells Spring again I decided to bake a Lemon Poppy Seeds Bread. I love baking with lemons. Their tang taste mixted with sugar and butter covered by a nice lemon syrup will awake your taste buds.

You can find this recipe in Rose Levy Beranbaum's Cake Bible. This cake is silky-smooth and has a texture of the Sara Lee pound cake. You will enjoy this mois, buttery flavor cake. Make it any time of the year.

The kids love to eat a slice before going to school. It freezes really well.

  24. This looks and sounds delicious, Helene. I love the bright taste lemon adds to cakes. I make something similar, a lemon flaxseed cake. It's light and not too sweet and has the heart healthy benefits of flaxseed.
