My favourite appetizer is and always will be good bread with a dish of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Hmm, I think my favourite appetizer is spinach dip inside of a pumpernickel loaf. Or, a shrimp ring.

Helene... What a terrific giveaway! Being from the deep South of the US, I would have to say my favorite appetizer is BLT's ~ take a cherry tomato, scoop out the center, fill it with a mixture of chopped bacon, chives, chopped spinach in a light mayonnaise dressing. They are like eating a BLT sandwich without the bread, only bite-size.

my favorite appetizer is probably guacamole. i could eat a whole bowl myself - every day of the week. if it's christmas, i love my mom's crab dip. if it's any other regular party, i head straight to the cheese tray and pray that there's a triple cream to pig out on.
Howdy! Ellen's favourite appie is a delicious one, and quite popular with our family gatherings, but my personal fave is homemade bruschetta. Deliciously toasted baguette slices (little olive oil and garlic) and topped with a mix of diced tomatoes, diced red onion, basil, feta, olive oil, garlic and salt.
Goat cheese drenched in herb-infused olive oil with slices of chewy baguette. Yum!
on savory side, it has to be some real good quality olive and cheese.
on sweet side, any light and crisp cookies.

My new favorite is Tortilla Spirals...filled with cream cheese, smoked salmon and pickled asparagus. They are rolled up like a jelly roll and sliced into colorful, pretty rounds.

I love bacon wrapped dates with a walnut piece in the middle. They are always a big hit at parties!
My favourite appetizer is homemade crackers with cheese or dip. I think it's weird that more people don't make crackers - it's so easy and they are sooo much better than store-bought.
My favorite is hummus with black olives and gourmet pita chips!

My top fave would be fresh local crab cakes. Caught in the BC Gulf Islands and made using only a small amount of flour and an egg to bind them...formed into small bite sized cakes and sauteed in butter until golden. Served with a dip of mayonnaise, freshly grated ginger and soy sauce....mmm I can taste them now!

Oooh, favorite appetizer... My favorite appetizer is probably crab cakes, or seared ahi tuna, depending on which restaurant I'm at. I'd probably go with the crab cakes though... yum!
Bonjour Hélène, c'est difficile de choisir juste une entrée mais je dirais que celle que je préfère c'est une trempette mexicaine; fromage à la crème (mon petit faible), salsa et tout le tralala!!
