Fennel and Italian Sausage Pasta

Fennel and Italian Sausage Pasta

This Fennel and Italian Sausage Pasta is a delight. This is the first time I try this combo. Mathieu had seconds and thirds. This recipe is definitively a keeper. While visiting a blog that I cherish a lot: La Table de Nana, I read about this recipe that she had prepared. This pasta dish was on our table for Dinner, last night, and was ready in 20 minutes. We love those quick, full of flavors meals.

Josée di Stasio know as A la di Stasio studied communications, has great interest in photography, was an art director of ad campaigns for magazines such as Châtelaine, En Route and Elle Québec. Also worked in television advertising as culinary stylist and after that as set designer. She then got involved in art direction, research and coordination for various television and radio programs. At that point, she met Daniel Pinard, and worked with him first as chronicler and later as co-host for his program Ciel mon Pinard. Then followed Les pieds dans les plats, in which she was co-host. Now, she’s the single host of the À la di Stasio show, on Télé-Québec, which is an occasion for her to passionately enjoy her love for cuisine.

Josée's cooking is simple and elegant. Her roots are Italian and it reflects in her cooking. True flavours comes out of her dishes, like this Fennel and Italian Sausage Pasta.

Josée di Stasio's award winning Italian cuisine cookbook 'à la di Stasio' first published in French, is now available in English for the first time.

Maple Syrup Muffins

Maple Syrup Cupcakes
This week I was in the mood for baking with Maple Syrup. In Québec we love our Maple Syrup. My mom always sends me a package, every Spring, with new Maple Syrup.

These muffins are a bit healthier with the addition of oats. You can bake any muffins or cupcakes that you love and frost them with this delicious Maple Syrup frosting. It was the highlight in this recipe. We liked it so much that I doubled the recipe. We love a thick frosting on our baked goods.

Some news to share, in March we are going to spend ten days on the Island of Oahu. I am looking for all of your suggestions, ie: restaurants, shoppings, attractions, beaches, things not to miss. We will stay in Waikiki but will rent a car for day trips. This is our first time in Hawaii. We cannot wait to go.

Spicy Tomato and White Bean Soup - Cooking Light

Cooking Light Soup
Happy New Year!

I am finally posting my first post of 2010. I have been really busy with the visit of my two older kids that came from Ontario. We had such a great time.

For this month Cooking Light Virtual Supper Club we are making Soups & Stews. I prepared a Spicy Tomato and White Bean Soup. This soup is ready in less than 15 minutes because you do use the food processor to chop the fresh vegetables. Instead of navy beans I used black beans. This soup was refreshing and healthy.

See what these following bloggers are cooking this month:
