NYC - Hot Cross Buns - Invite a Blogger to Your Table

Hot Cross Buns

Lots going on this week, we are packing for NYC. We are flying tonight and will be spending Easter week-end in New York. I always like to plan for trips. This time my son Maxime and I met up with his friend Dylan, who is becoming an expert for this exciting city. He gave us some great advice, suggested Broadway plays, restaurants, shopping. We are leaving with an extended list of things to see and do. He even sent us an itinerary by districts. Cannot thank him enough. We share a passion, Dylan also blogs. I am a follower of his blog, his tag line is 'arts & science, literally' and he's really bringing the coolest new findings in neuroscience with art and contemporary european and american pop music". While I am blogging I often listen to new music that I am discovering through his blog. It would be nice if you could take the time to visit Dylan's blog: inD-K.

Chocolate Chips Cookies - Tate's Bake Shop - Review & Giveaway

IMG_0122 2

Couple weeks ago I was contacted by Tate's Bake Shop to sample their delicious Chocolate Chips Cookies, White Chocolate Macadamia Nuts Cookies & Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. We loved cookies in my home and they were well received. The delicate cookies are hand packed and are packaged in a cute box. Tate's Bake Shop was founded by Kathleen King in Southampton, NY. This purist does not use artificial ingredients in her thin, crisp, buttery cookies.

Tate's Bake Shop was featured in The Washington Post, The New York Times and many more. Everyday with Rachael Ray magazine, in a 50-brand taste-test, voted Tate's the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies in America. Find more information about Tate's Bake Shop by visiting their Facebook page.

They also send me their cookbook. It is filled with delicious pictures and recipes and I can't wait to bake the White Chocolate Brownies, Toffee Pecan Cookies, Lemon Pound Cake, Rhubarb Crumb Muffins, Energy Bars just to name of few. When I was growing up, after my swimming lessons, I would treat myself to an ice cream sandwich with the money I had saved from babysitting. I decided to make my own using Tate's Bake Shop Chocolate Chips Cookies. It was much better than any ice cream sandwich I have eaten in my childhood. On top of my ice cream sandwich I melted some Callebaut Chocolate. Devine!

Malabar Coconut Shrimp & Kraft Giveaway - Crevettes à la noix de coco du Malabar et produits Kraft à gagner

First I want to thank everyone who visits my blog, leaves comments and sends emails, I really appreciate it. Blogging takes a lot of time and this encourages me to continue talking about great recipes. This one is a keeper and a frequent one in my kitchen. When I attended the Kraft My Way Event, at Kraft Canada in Toronto, this was the entrée that I loved the most. I recreated it last night, and both my son Mathieu and I loved it. I served this Malabar Coconut Shrimp dish with a Mango Salsa.

Kraft Products Giveaway:  The wonderful people at Kraft Canada are going to giveaway Kraft products, valued at over $80 each, to five lucky readers of my blog.  I included a list of the products below.  This is open to anyone in Canada, even if you don't have a blog.

Cream Cheese Brownies

It was our Book Club meeting, last night, and I decided to bake brownies. It has been a while since I made brownies. I choose this recipe because it has real chocolate, you can choose bittersweet or semisweet, and cream cheese. I like the final look. These brownies were well received at the book club.

Before going to the meeting I went suit shopping with my son Maxime and his friend Dylan for their Formal night tonight and I gave them some brownies. Max said they liked them. You can eat them cold but I tasted them warm right out the oven and they were delicious also. My husband is eating them with a warm chocolate sauce and ice cream tonight for dessert.
