All-Bran Peach Almond Crumble

IMG_3109 copyd

When we have nice berries and fruits at home one dessert that I like to make is a crumble. It's quick to prepare and you can modify a recipe all you want. The crumble calls for peaches and since I add fresh blueberries in the fridge I mix both. It was delicious. The topping is different from my usual recipe, this one is made with All-Bran Buds cereal mixed with flour and oats. I received a package from All-Bran and this is the first recipe that I wanted to try. It was delicious and healthy at the same time. It gives you a good serving of fiber also. For 28g of All-Bran Buds you get 11g of fiber.

They also send me their All-Bran cereal bars Orange Cranberry Flavour. I just tried one and it's really good.

Recipe courtesy of All-Bran

1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 1/4 cups All-Bran original cereal or All-Bran Buds cereal
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 cup butter, softened
4 cups peeled and sliced peaches
2 Tbsps honey or maple syrup

Combine flour, oats, cereal, almonds, brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Stir in butter until well blended.

Spread peaches and honey evenly into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Cover with All-Bran almond topping.

Bake at 375F until crumble topping is golden and fruit is hot and bubbling, about 30 minutes.

Tip: This works with any fruit varieties. Try serving it with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.

Prep time: 20 minutes
Makes: 6 servings
