We have been experimenting a nice summer so far in Ottawa. The weather was perfect for camping over Canada Day week-end. We met family members and friends at a campground in Saint-André Avellin and we enjoyed our time together.
One drink that people love during a hot summer day is lemonade. This one is freshly-squeezed and is not too tart for my taste. It had just the right balance of flavors. This lemonade is part of the menu that has been prepared by the Cooking Light Virtual Supper Club. Visit each blog to discover what everyone is bringing to our Virtual meal.

We have yet to experience the summer days that we are used to as we peer through all this rain, but this lemonade sounds so refreshing Helene.
ReplyDeleteHelene, since we last blogged together you have moved much closer to my hometown :) However, I too have since moved farther south. lol Great to be sharing this VSC experience with you again and as always, your photo is outstanding!
ReplyDeleteOh yes please - I can taste it from here
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like freshly squeezed lemonade. With 20 lemons, and 2.5 cups sugar - how much lemonade do you get? I get 1.25 litres with 2 lemons and 150g of sugar...and 1 litre of water. Just trying to compare lemons. Haha.Trying to compare cost and sugar as I use my Thermomix. It takes thee seconds literally - 1-2-3 and it spectaular, but I put the entire lemon in.

Valerie, on the Cooking Light website it says 16 servings of 1 cup each. Would like a Thermomix!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you Helene, nothing like a fresh squeezed lemon juice to cool down the heat of the Summer. Love the picture!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend :)
One of the things I like best about my Thermomix is making lemonade in a jiffy. Yours looks so good!
