We had our share of snow since a week in Ottawa. It's nice and we had a white Christmas this year. We are going to spend New Year with our families in Québec. I am baking sugar pies, Mars bars squares, dates squares and Two-Layer Cookie Crunch Fudge. This fudge is yummy, my son said that he approves the recipe. It is made with ingredients that I have received from Kraft Canada and it's part of an event on twitter: #DessertMoments.
If you are still looking for a last minute dessert for New Year here is the recipe:
Two-Layer Cookie Crunch Fudge
what you need
1 pkg. (6 squares) Baker's Premium 70% Cacao Dark Chocolate
1 can (300 mL) sweetened condensed milk, divided
3 Chips Ahoy! Cookies, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (6 squares) Baker's White Chocolate
LINE 8-inch square pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides. Microwave dark chocolate and 2/3 cup milk in medium microwaveable bowl on MEDIUM 1-1/2 min. or until chocolate is almost melted, stirring after 1 min.; stir until completely melted.
ADD chopped cookies and vanilla; mix well. Spread onto bottom of prepared pan.
MICROWAVE white chocolate and remaining milk in separate microwaveable bowl on MEDIUM 1-1/2 min. or until chocolate is almost melted, stirring after 1 min.; stir until completely melted. Spread over dark chocolate layer. Refrigerate 2 hours. Use foil handles to lift fudge from pan before cutting into pieces.
Disclaimer: I received some products to make this recipe from Kraft Canada.
