Strawberry Salad with Candied Nuts - Kraft #NewPourables






On average how many minutes does a parent, student has during the week to come back from work, school, prepare Dinner and eat before heading out the door to do activities? Not many, some of you are lucky if you have even thirty minutes. That is why it is important to plan your meals during the week-end and have access to products to ease meals preparation.

We are always looking for products that will save us time in the kitchen so that you don't need to reach for that frozen Dinner again.

These Kraft New Fruit & Veg Dressings made with fruits and vegetables will come to the rescue for your salads. They have a bold and fresh taste. The Kraft Fruit & Veg Dressings are made with no artificial colours or flavours, are low fat and salt and have between 25 to 30 calories per serving. They are available in four flavours:

  • Fire Roasted Tomato with Basil
  • Berry Balsamic
  • Garlic Parmesan with Roasted Cauliflower
  • Roasted Yellow Pepper, Garlic & Lime
I had the chance to try the four kind of Kraft Fruit & Veggies Dressings. The Berry Balsamic was my favourite and my son and I could not stop eating the Candied Nuts that I made with it. To discover a delicious world of salads visit the Kraft Salad Center.


RECIPES:

Strawberry Salad with Candied Nuts

Candied Nuts: Heat 1 Tbsp brown sugar and 1/2 Tbsp dressing on medium heat. Toss in 1/4 cup pecans (or walnuts) to coat and continue to cook and stir until candied about 4-5 minutes.

Salad: In a big bowl, mix shredded lettuce and fresh strawberries. Add 2-3 Tbsps Kraft Fruit & Veg Berry Balsamic Dressing and Candied Nuts. Mix well. Serve.




VEGETABLE DIP:

For an easy vegetable dip, add 1/4 cup Kraft Fruit & Veg Fire Roasted Tomato with Basil Dressing with equal amounts Miracle Whip Original Spread, sour cream or yogurt. Serve with vegetables for a quick, delicious dip.




Healthy Salad:

In a big bowl mix chopped salad, sliced yellow pepper, 1 mango cubed, 2 green onions sliced, 4 radishes sliced, 1/4 cup almonds sliced, 1 Tbsp Sunflower Seeds, 2-3 Tbsps fresh cilantro and 2-3 Tbsps Kraft Fruit & Veg Roasted Yellow Pepper, Garlic and Lime. Mix well and serve.


Mashed Potatoes

To add instant flavour to your mashed potatoes add 1/4 cup Kraft Fruit & Veg Garlic Parmesan with Roasted Cauliflower Dressing to 4 cups cubed potatoes and mash.

I served the mashed potatoes with chicken curry and it was really good.
