Walk in any homes that smells cinnamon and I am sure that you will not resist the treats that are baking. I grew up on a farm and my family worked long hours and to reward ourselves we would eat dessert almost every day. But what have stayed with me is that cinnamon smell, especially in the fall when my mom was baking fresh apple sauce.
Talking about hard labour on farms I am excited to have been chosen to be an Ambassador for Gay Lea Foods by Mom Central Canada. The product that I buy the most from Gay Lea Foods is the butter. I use butter everyday and especially love it in my baked goods. A new product is hitting the shelves and that is a NEW Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Spreadables.

As soon as I came home with the product I did made myself a Cinnamon & Raisin Toast, topped with the Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Spreadables butter and bananas. It was double yum! If you are in a hurry in the morning that will satisfy your hunger in no time.
When you have more time during the week-end make your family some delicious French Toasts and substitute the butter with the Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Spreadables butter in the batter. Top the French Toasts with real maple syrup and fresh fruits and your kids will be back for seconds.
I love baking and the first thing that came to mind was to replace the butter with the Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Spreadables butter in my Sticky Buns recipe.
This is a list of desserts that I will be using the NEW Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Spreadables Butter:
BAKED APPLE DOUGHNUT HOLES
This is a great dessert to make to use this new product.
250 ml AP flour
250 ml whole wheat flour
125 ml sugar
7 ml baking powder
5 ml cinnamon
2 ml nutmeg
180 ml almond breeze
30 ml Gay Lea Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Spreadable Butter, melted
5 ml vanilla extract
1 large granny smith apple, peeled and grated
75 ml sugar
60 ml Gay Lea Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Spreadable Butter, melted
15 ml cinnamon
5 ml nutmeg
Preheat oven to 400F. Spray mini muffins pan with PAM.
In one large bowl mix wet ingredients together. Add dry ingredients and stir just until moistened.
Spoon into mini muffins pan. Bake about 10 minutes until a tooth pick inserted comes out dry. Let cool on a cookie rack for 15 minutes.
Mix all ingredients of the topping together. Roll each balls in the sugar mix.
