Baileys Irish Coffee

baileys irish coffee

This is a nice treat to serve guests at the end of a meal. This speciality coffee is made with freshly brewed coffee, Baileys and have fun topping it with whipped cream. Before serving garnish this Baileys Irish Coffee with chocolate shavings.
This is a drink of choice after a day of skiing or tobogganing. Curl yourself into a warm blanket, by the fire, and enjoy this drink. Valentine's Day is also a great occasions to drink it after a nice meal. Or you could kick off a St Patrick's Day celebration with this pipping, hot drink.

Did you know that Irish coffee was invented by Limerick chef Joseph Sheridan in 1942? It was to welcome Americans visiting Ireland. Not a bad way to start your visit in that country, especially on a cold winter night. Sheridan added whiskey to the coffee, I prefer to use Baileys.
