Maple-Glazed Chicken Drummettes

Finally Spring begins tomorrow. It feels like this winter will never end. Why not take the time to go visit a Sugar Shack this month. My family likes to go to La Goudrelle located on Mont Saint-Grégoire. It is nice to go when the days are warmer and when they have less snow. After a big meal you can take a nice, long walk in the woods and smell the fresh air. At this time of the year I like to make recipes with maple syrup. This week I made these delicious Maple-Glazed Chicken Drummettes.

My parents always send us cans of real maple syrup, as a gift, in March. Our supply usually last one year. This recipe took me 2 minutes to prepare. Then it goes in the oven for 30 minutes. While it is cooking you can prepare some brown rice and vegetables, as side dishes. A nice green vegetable, like asparagus, will add color to your plate. You can prepare the recipe the night before and let it marinate, in the refrigerator, for up to 24 hrs.

I will make this recipe again and I might try the sauce with pork chops. When Spring comes do you like to make recipes with maple syrup?

TIP:  When the chicken is on special, at your grocery store, double the recipe and you will have leftovers for your lunch. Hot steamed snow peas are also yummy with this chicken.
