To prepare the salad you simply brown the meat with onions and add taco seasoning mix. You could make your own, if you wish. That way you can control the spiciness of the dish. If you choose to use black beans, you can warm them, add a bit of chili powder and cumin to add taste to your beans. Once your meat is ready place the vegetables on a nice plate, top with tomatoes, cheese and dressing. Add meat or beans and chips. Mix and serve. If you like heat, add sliced jalapeños. QUICK TACO SALAD
450g extra-lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 pkg. (35g) taco seasoning mix
1 cup water
1 large head romaine lettuce, coarsely chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 cup Tex Mex Shredded Cheese
1/4 cup Calorie-Wise Rancher's Choice Dressing
2 cups tortilla chips (110 g), coarsely crushed
