Beet, Carrot and Apple Juice Recipe

beet, carrot and apple juice

In the past couple weeks I have carefully written everything that I ate and drank. I really want to make sure that I live a healthy life. It's a lifestyle for me to eat healthy and I eat my share of salads, veggies and fruits, but I have never juiced before. I always wanted to get a Juice Extractor but was too busy to actually buy one. Recently, I joined the Ambassador program for Hamilton Beach Canada. Since I spend most of my time in the kitchen, I like to try new kitchen appliances and love Hamilton Beach products. In the morning I make my toasts in one of their toasters. It's a great way to start my day. This year I will be trying and testing, in my own kitchen, some of their products and will share with you new recipes. Follow other Hamilton Beach Canada Ambassadors by using the hashtag #HBSocialKitchen on social media.

Let me tell you that I was excited when I received my new Hamilton Beach Low Speed Juice Extractor. This is a beautiful appliance and I love the colour. It was so quick to assemble and in just a  few minutes I was ready to make my first Beet, Carrot and Apple Juice. For years I wanted to make a juice with beets. In the summer I eat them almost every day. There is a legend that says that Russians live long and healthy because they consume beets. It protects against heart disease, certain cancers, especially colon cancer. I think I will drink beets a lot this winter.

When I opened my fridge I saw apples and carrots. It was an easy choice for me to mix them with beets for my first juice. I was surprised that it took so little time to make fresh juice. And look at the colour, it's gorgeous! The taste was so fresh and packed with healthy nutrients. It was also so easy to clean and I like the fact that they included a cleaning brush. You can easily store the juice extractor in your cupboards, it does not take much space.

The verdict: I am in love with my new Juice Extractor. Why did I wait so long to get one? I can't answer that but I can tell you that if you get one you might became as addicted as I am.

Some people might be wondering what to do with the juice pulp. Don't worry, there are a lot of ways to use the leftover juice pulp. Think about adding them to your soups for a boost of fiber, or you could make a veggie broth, add it any of your pasta sauces, even make veggies burgers and add the carrot pulp. Lastly, you could compost it.

And I forgot to tell you that after my first juice I felt energized all afternoon. What are you waiting for to start juicing?
