Shrimps with Chipotle & Lemongrass Maple Syrup Recipe

Shrimps with Chipotle & Lemongrass Maple Syrup

Did I ever tell you that I love my job as a food blogger? I get to try amazing products from reputable companies and share it with you. Not too long ago I received a package of five bottles of Pure Infused Maple Syrup. The challenge was to make a recipe using one of their products. First, let me tell you that they know how to package their maple syrup. Look at these bottles. They are gorgeous! And now let's get serious, the flavors are intoxicating. We're talking real maple syrup, infused with Vanilla, Cinnamon & Star Anise that you could drizzle over ice cream, add to your smoothies or your yogurt.  They also have Cinnamon, Nutmeg & Cloves, which pairs well with apples and is tasty on roasted root vegetables. Their Pure Infused Maple Syrup with Ginger & Apple Vinegar would be delicious in my Waldorf Salad. I like their maple syrup so much that I could take my bath in it. The Lavender & Chai would be perfect!

Shrimps with Chipotle & Lemongrass Maple Syrup

The first recipe that I tried is Shrimps with Chipotle & Lemongrass Maple Syrup. I wanted to create a recipe that looks like a dish you would eat in a restaurant, but that you can make in less than 20 minutes. We're all busy and sometimes we don't have much time to prepare dinner after work, but we want to eat delicious food. In the fridge I had leftover brown rice from the night before, and served the shrimps with edamame beans and green onions. For the shrimps I simply sautéed them in butter and garlic and at the end added my maple syrup sauce. My son loved it. He said that we have to make it again soon. I tried this maple syrup mixed with soy sauce on top of salmon and it was really good also. And for the drink lovers you can pair my shrimp dish with a Fiery Sugarbush Cocktail.

You are probably wondering where you can find this amazing maple syrup. The Pure Infused Maple Syrup is made in Nova Scotia. You can go to their website and place your order online or find out if it is available in a store near you.

1 tbsp butter
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
Sauce:
2 tsp Pure Infused Maple Syrup Chipotle & Lemongrass

1 tsp soy sauce

Directions:
1- In a large saucepan, over high heat, melt the butter. Add the shrimps and garlic. Cook until they change color.
2- In a small bowl mix all ingredients of the sauce.
3- Once the shrimps change color add the sauce. Cook for another minute.
4- Serve with rice, pasta or salad. Top with green onions and Edamame. Serves 2.

Bon appétit!

Disclosure: I did not receive any payment for posting this recipe, but I was offered maple syrup. I tested the recipe in my own kitchen and the pictures are my own. #PureInfused
