Quick and Easy Summer Meals Ideas

Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Do you ever struggle to put a meal on your table every day? If I was asking you to pick one night of the week where you are the most busy, what would it be? For us it's Thursday night because during the afternoon I volunteer at my local food bank and I get home late. Sometimes I dream of coming home and finding a chef in my kitchen, but in real life it never happens. And let me tell you that my sons and husband don't play chef often either. They prefer to eat and help with the dishes.

At the food bank I spend the afternoon serving clients, restocking the shelves and walking a lot. When I come home I'm starving and I'm not in the mood to spend another hour on my feet in the kitchen. I would rather get comfy in a chair and relax. But we have to eat and I'm always looking for new ideas to make sure that I don't grab takeout on my way home. And I don't really have time to worry about what we will eat Thursday nights. Having said that, I want to make sure my family gets a delicious, nutritious meal.

Over the years I've learned that planning meals is important but it's time consuming and some weeks it's not possible to plan. That's why I have a list of Quick and Easy Summer Meals Ideas that are perfect for those busy nights. We also love to go camping in the summer and still like to eat tasty meals that are quick to prepare. That gives me more time to read a book, go for a hike or just sit by the fire at night.

I find it important to eat as a family because it's beneficial for the relationship with your children. Sharing a meal is an excuse to talk and to disconnect from the outside world. In our days of busy lives, most parents don't have time to cook after a long day at work. What if I told you that you could come home and have dinner on the table in 10 minutes? You are probably thinking this is too good to be true. I have some suggestions for you. The best part is that the meat for your meal will be fully cooked. I don't know if you have heard of Cardinal Ready before, but they prepare high quality, portion controlled meats that are ready to serve. Their products are versatile and you can prepare different meals every night of the week. They have a tasty selection of butter chicken, pork steak, pulled pork in chipotle sauce, farmer's sausage, pork back ribs in BBQ sauce and more. Check out their meals ideas.

After you pick a Ready selection, all you have to do is add a side like rice or pasta and some veggies. How simple is that? My son came home tonight after work and said that my meal had big taste. I smiled because it was ready in no time. All I did was sauté green peppers with onions and added the sausages. We had our meal with rice. I am already planning for tomorrow night. It will be Pulled Pork Sandwiches. They are delicious when I stuff the buns with Cardinal Ready Pulled Pork in Chipotle Sauce and broccoli slaw. We like it when we have great meals at night!

What I like about their products is that even your family will be able to help prepare dinner. They could surprise you with taco night using Ready ground beef. You don't have to worry about them using the stove and browning the meat. The next night you may come home and find Italian Sloppy Joes on the table. The meal ideas are endless.
