Spicy Chicken Shawarma from Cooking Light & FBC Conference

In the past couple of weeks my days have been filled with a lot of different things to do and that did not leave me time to blog. During the week-end of April 12 I attended my first conference as a blogger and it was the Food Bloggers of Canada Conference. I love meeting new people and could not wait to meet some bloggers that I have been following for years and 'cyber talked'. It was an exciting week-end and our speakers were the best.
As soon as I saw that David Leite from Leite's Culinaria was our keynote speaker I wanted to make sure I did not pass this opportunity to attend this conference. It was the 1st Food Bloggers of Canada conference and what made it a success was that all speakers were approachable. The first night, at Dinner, I had the honour to sit right beside David. We talked and laughed about anything like if we had known each other for years. It was the feeling I had all week-end like I knew everyone that was attending the conference. The fact that it was a small conference made it more intimate and everyone took this unique opportunity to meet other bloggers and also talk with the guests speakers.

It would be too long for me to list everyone I met and all the speakers but I will take the time to thank Ethan, Mardi and Melissa that worked for months to organize this event. It was memorable and successful. I would have loved to spend another day at the HockleyValley Resort with everyone. It was too short but so intense. On my way back I had to drive 6 hours to Ottawa and killed the time by listening to the speakers in my car.  It was the best 6 driving hours that I ever had. Hope we can all meet again in one year.
