I am a big fan of food blogger Angela Liddon and like her beautiful cookbook, The Oh She Glows Cookbook. It features 100 Vegan Recipes to Glow From the Inside Out. I am not a vegan but absolutely love her cookbook because I love to try everything and to make healthy meals during the week. In this cookbook she uses real food ingredients.

Since I am passionate about food photography I could not stop looking at her gorgeous pictures of the finished dishes. Her photos are mouth-watering. I can't tell you how many times I made the effortless vegan overnight oats. It's not only nutritious, it's also delicious, and when I wake up in the morning, breakfast is ready.

Since I have a sweet tooth I am featuring a recipe for Banana Bites. I was inspired by Angela to make my bites. I decided to top the bites with almond butter as well as Cinnamon Granola Raisin Peanut Butter. Then I added melted Sea Salt Chocolate and topped the bites with a mix of almonds, peanuts, and dark chocolate. This treat is so delicious! You can try different toppings if you wish.

Her cookbook is great for cooks at any level of experience, whether you are a beginner or advanced. You will probably bookmark all her recipes like me. Next recipe I will try is her favorite veggie burger. We are hosting a BBQ on Sunday, and it will be the perfect recipe to try.


1 large banana, sliced into 2-cm pieces
45 ml peanut butter or almond butter (or both)
30 ml Sea Salt Chocolate, melted
5 ml sliced almonds
5 ml peanuts
20 ml dark chocolate, cut into small pieces
5 ml oil

1- Cover a cookie sheet with parchemin paper. Place the banana pieces on top. Melt the peanut butter or almond butter in the microwave and spread on top of the bites.
2- Place in the freezer to chill for about 30 minutes.
3- In the microwave melt the sea salt chocolate with the oil.
4- Remove the banana bites from the freezer and spread with the melted chocolate.
5- In a small bowl mix the almonds, peanuts and dark chocolate. Top each bites with this mix. Place in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Serve immediately.
