Banana Chocolate Chips Muffins Recipe

I have been using this recipe for Banana Chocolate Chips Muffins for years, it's a family favorite. Today, I bought ripe bananas at a discounted price at the grocery store. It's amazing what you can do with bananas!

Try these recipes, they are triple-tested and so delicious:


2 ripe bananas, mashed 
180 ml sugar
1 egg
85 ml butter, at room temperature
5 ml baking powder
5 ml baking soda 
2 ml salt
375 ml all-purpose flour
125 ml chocolate chips (I like dark)

1- Preheat oven to 375F. Spray a 12 muffins pan with PAM.
2- In a large bowl whisk all dry ingredients. In a small bowl mix all wet ingredients.
3- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix with a fork until dry ingredients are just moistened.
4- Divide batter into muffin tins.
5- Bake at 375F for about 18-20 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let rest at room temperature for 10 minutes. Remove muffins from the pan and place on a cookie rack and cool completely.
